TFL Baseball Mission Statement
The Farm League Baseball Program is committed to excellence in athletics as a larger commitment to excellence in personal development and success in later life.
The guiding principle behind a young player's participation is the promotion of character traits of high value. These include the drive to take one's talents to the highest level of performance, embracing the discipline needed to reach high standards, learning to work with others as a team in pursuit of a common goal, and adherence to codes of fairness and respect.
Our objectives include:
·Attract and retain the finest coaches, teaching the fundamentals of the game, and enhancing each player's opportunity to "make" their high school team.
·Maintain competitive schedules for each team.
·Provide state-of-the-art strength and conditioning, training, and sports medicine programs that emphasize the health and safety of our athletes.
·Provide superior facilities for competition and teaching.
·Raise awareness and demonstrate to everyone "what is possible" in life.
·Be steadfast in our commitment to increase self-esteem, awareness and confidence in everyone we meet.
·Strongly advocate academic and social growth.
Our goal is to create and maintain an atmosphere and structure where each student/ athlete becomes a member of The Farm League athletic "family".
As a boy moves through his youth baseball career, he will experience many styles, leagues, tournaments, and skill levels. The transitions from T-ball to coach pitch to kid pitch brings with it dramatic changes. Additionally, within each style of baseball the game changes. The difference in a 7U tournament game to 8U one is significant. Kid pitch is a journey from years of walks and past balls to 80+ mph pitches.
Along the way, parents are involved in every step. We coach, we assist, or we work with the kids at home. The farm league has always been and will always be about the kids playing with their friends and developing a love of the game of baseball. We want the parents to be involved with their children as long as they can. However, there will come a time at which we as parents are no longer adequate at coaching our children thorough the myriad of changes that come with competitive baseball. The Farm League has been a great place for the kids to start their youth baseball careers and now we will offer a program to help them continue their baseball career into middle school and high school.
The Farm League is happy to announce a new addition to its current baseball offering. The Lynx Baseball Organization. This organization is for middle school baseball players only, ages 11-14. The differences in our organization compared to others in the area are significant. We will be providing the highest level of coaching, by actual Klein area high school baseball coaches. They are not just any high school coaches. They are in the State of Texas Hall of Fame. Another major difference is that we will be committed to each child that is a part of our organization. After the initial tryouts and the team is selected, we will not be cutting or picking up outside players for any tournaments in order to boost our winning stats. The only reason a player would be dropped would be for discipline reasons by the player or PARENT. We will teach our players to be the best fundamental baseball players in the area. Our organization will not be caught up in trophy chasing and building up our win record by any means necessary. This organization will be about teaching middle school players how to transition from recreational/tournament ball into high school level players.
The Klein District 135A has amazing young athletes in it. The Lynx Organization, with the expertise of our coaches, wants to help create future high school baseball players that will have long and successful careers in high school and beyond. The Lynx Organization has brought together 3 highly respected high school coaches who will coach the teams.
