Addressing the latest trade reports concerning the troublesome defensive tackle, coach Mike Shanahan on Wednesday said Haynesworth will be a member of the Washington Redskins when they open the season Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
  • Tom Brady says he's not thinking about a new contract and is focusing on preparing for the season opener. The current deal for the New England Patriots quarterback expires after this season. He said Wednesday he loves playing for the team but has learned not to assume anything and just wants to focus on playing football.
