2009 Varsity team

Kourtlin Flournoy (Flo) started playing football in July of 2005. In 2007 he was selected to play in a all star game in the league that he was playing in. The spring of 2008 he was asked to play spring football in the HSFL. He was able to make (honorable mention all HSFL Defense) at linebacker. In the 2009 season he was able to help his middle school team at Northland Christian to an undefeated season and also picked up MVP. In January of 2010 Kourtlin was co-MVP of the junior rank national combine for 8th grade. In the spring of 2010 received 2nd team offense (WR) and defense (LB)honors in the HSFL with the TFL Hurricanes. In the 2010-11 season at Northland Christian he was able to letter as a freshmen the team completed the season in the second rounds of the TAPPS playoffs. Now in 2011-12 season Kourtlin is a starter at middle linebacker for Northland Christian.

2010 Varsity Team

Larry Harris (Big Country) started playing ball in 2003 for the YMCA. At the age of six, he was bigger than his coach, and he followed that trend for eight years playing for the YMCA and Montgomery Football League before playing for the Hurricanes in 2011. Always the "big guy," he had to prove himself by showing big guys can move. And move he does! He helped lead the Canes to there second State Championship and earned first line varsity offensive lineman of the league in the 2011 season. And if size and speed aren't enough for you, Big Country maintains A's and B's in advanced placement classes which helps when memorizing the many plays that can be implemented on the field at any given moment. It's no wonder his freshman year he has been invited to play in the varsity scrimmage, practice with the varsity team and has played five series in his first varsity game with a standing invitation to play with the varsity team in one of their district games. We look to see great things from this guy and we give a tremendous amount of gratitude to the HSFL Varsity Hurricanes for helping make him noticeably heads above the rest!
