GREG MARWILL

Greg Marwill started his youth sports coaching career early in his children's lives. Starting with organized youth camping trips when his children were four and five years old. He slowly graduated from Troop Leader to T-ball, Softball and Flag Football coaching positions. Greg joined The Farm League in Spring of 2010 when his daughter, Hannah, and son, Colton, started with softball and baseball. He started as Head Coach of the Starz softball team and an Assistant Coach with the Bulldogs baseball team. Later that same year he became the Head Coach of the 2nd grade Vikings flag football team. The time he is able to spend coaching his children and their friends is a highlight he will cherish for many years. Being a youth sports coach is a unique honor that a parent gets to experience watching your children and their friends grow and have fun. To be a positive influence on their lives while teaching them the importance of competition, sportsmanship and fair play is a very rewarding aspect of parenting. Greg has been fortunate to be associated with a great group of athletic kids that have had some success on the fields. While seeing his kids win ballgames is fun he is more appreciative of the supporting families that have allowed their kids to remain with his teams as they mature and progress through The Farm League system. While the children really enjoy the games and success with a fun season, Greg's "trophy" comes at the end of the year when he knows the kids have given their all and matured as athletes, regardless of the outcome of their games they stepped up and met the challenge to compete.
